606 1 St SW, Calgary AB     (Downtown)    Map  Website
Restaurant Type: Fusion/Contemporary, Tapas
Located in the century old Lougheed Building, the space that was one home to Kronn's Rathskelar restaurant has been restored by owners Witold Twardowski, Elizabeth Panonko and Eron Forseth. Sociale serves contemporary cuisine and tapas in its polished restaurant-lounge basement and its more informal upstairs dining lounge. As well, a Spanish-style tapas menu is available upstairs on Wednesdays and Fridays after 4 pm. Located right downtown, it’s got something of a white-collar, singles-club vibe. Check the establishment’s website for live music and DJ schedule.

Good food with a corporate singles kinda vibe
