Alan Moore, Damon Albarn working on opera

It looks like Damon Albarn, the co-mastermind of Gorillaz and head of the recently reunited Blur, is teaming up with comics legend Alan Moore for an opera. Albarn, who seems physically incapable of resting on his laurels, already has a Chinese opera under his belt, but as far as I know, this is his first attempt at a Western one. And the subject matter is perfectly suited to Moore, the man behind Watchmen and V for Vendetta and one of the key legitimizers of comics in the '80s: it's about 16th century scholar, alchemist and attempted liaison-with-the-angels John Dee. Exciting news, indeed.
