Head on over to Chad's website to grab a 9-song EP of Soft Airplane-era B-sides. I'm not finished downloading it so I don't have anything to say just yet. The Baby Beans EP that came out when Infiniheart was re-released had some pretty insane shit on it, including a rap number, so I'm not sure what to expect from this. If it's awesome, I will post a follow-up. There's one track on there with Julie Doiron and Fred Squire, so that right there pretty much guarantees greatness.

In case you'd forgotten, Chad is up for the Polaris Music Prize, the winner of which will be announced this Monday at a gala event in Toronto. I still think he's the front-runner, but Fucked Up could give him a real run for his money and Malajube is a serious dark horse contender.

Update: Pretty good. Nothing as abraisive as Baby Beans, although I can't say my (lofty) expectations for the collab with Julie and Fred were met. Nonetheless, Corvette is one of my favourite Chad songs in recent history and I'm really glad it's finally getting a semi-proper release.
