Gather round, Venture fans. Jackson Publick brings us a teaser trailer for season 4 of the best still-running cartoon on Adult Swim, the Venture Bros. Usually these things don't work in Canada, but somehow I was able to watch it. Hopefully the embed code works:

Season 3 started out pretty slow, but it got awesome towards the end. And if this trailer is any indication... well, Season 4 is going to be awesome!!

High points and other observations, in no particular order:

• Hank has long hair now and, apparently, Dean goes missing at some point.
• Dermott is back and it should be good to see if they continue fleshing out his character .
• "Pay no attention to the handsome and ageless rockstar hiding behind the couch. I am the mighty Sovereign!" Amazing!
• Was that Sgt. Hatred in bed with Quizboy Billy?
• A LARPing reference is never ever a bad thing.
• More freaky Dean acid freakouts! YES!

I could probably go on for another dozen bullet points or so, but I'll spare you the fanboy freakout. Needless to say, I know what I'll be doing in (hopefully) November 2009.

In other news, another bit of good news revealed in Publick's most recent post is that Bill Hader (of SNL fame, most notably the excellent digital shorts) will be the new voice of Professor Impossible. It was a bit of a kick in the pants for Team Venture when they got snubbed by Dr. Stephen "neither the time nor the interest" Colbert, so it's good to see that they've lined up a new voice for his character. That said, I thought Prof. I sounded fine in Season 3...
