This Sunday, January 9, marks the Global No Pants Subway Ride. The brainchild of New York City's prank collective Improv Everywhere, the event's origins date back to 2002. Since then, it has become a bit of a global phenomenon, and in 2009, over 1200 people participated in New York with another 1000 people participating in 21 cities around the world. This year, 49 cities in 23 countries are participating in the event.
Where's Calgary in all this? Well, the Calgary Cacophony Society is organizing this year's event, and participants are encouraged to ride the C-Train sans pants. The only problem is that as of Friday afternoon, only one person, Cacophonists, has signed up for the event (well, online at least). From the bottom of our heart, we beg all of you to help out so that there isn't one poor soul standing in his underwear at the Olympic Plaza C-Train Station on Sunday. Details can be found here.
