'Oohs' and 'ahhs' abound, Cirque du Soleil's latest offering Ovo not only transforms crepy crawly insects into sexy, mesmerizing, backflipping acrobats, but it defies gravity.
One could look to Ovo — or any Cirque du Soleil show for that matter — as an inspiration because just when you think something isn't possible, the performers prove that it IS possible.
The story this time revolves around a fly and a ladybug, who seemingly have an odd attraction for one another and while the acrobatic acts and contortion creates a world of fantasy, the silliiness of the insects brings the audiences back to reality.
Families and children may love the acts in between, but what most audience members want to see is the incredible acts, which there is still plenty of.
The end act has to be seen to be believed but uses trampolines in a way never seen before, while inorporating a climbing wall into the equation.
Ovo is a fantastical ride and one that will leave you believing that yes, anything is possible.
