City ponders selling historic buildings

The city is considering selling some of its historic buildings in an effort to pay for backlogged repairs on other historical landmarks. Officials have identified at least four city-owned buildings for possible sale, including the 120-year-old A.E Cross House in Inglewood, Fire Hall No. 3 in Inglewood, Capitol Hill Cottage School and Hillhurst Cottage School.

But all of those buildings currently have tenants such as Rouge, Hose and Hound Pub and the Alberta Wilderness Association. Fixing the buildings could cost upwards of $25 million.
