CICF director resigns
Posted by Krista Sylvester in CultureThe Calgary International Children's Festival (CICF) has announced the resignation of its artistic director, Kate Newby.
Newby served as artistic director since 2004 and has been with the organization since 2002.
"My seven years as artistic director for the Calgary International Children's Festival have been both rewarding and challenging," Newby said in a release. "But it's now time for me to seek new artistic challenges. I look forward to passing the torch on to strong new leadership as I move forward with new creative pursuits."
Her resignation is effective August 31 and the board of directors will search for a replacement.
