Fast Forward Weekly sex columnist Dan Savage is coming to Calgary as part of the 13th annual Fairy Tales Film Festival.

Fairy Tales director Jessica Dollard is excited to have the popular advice columnist and advocate as part of the festival May 26 to June 3.

"Back in the winter I wrote Dan a letter thanking him for creating the It Gets Better campaign because it inspired us to create the Youth Anti-Homophobia PSA Program here in Calgary," Dollard says. "He was so impressed with the program that he decided to come to the city to show his support of the participants and queer youth in Calgary."

Tickets for Savage's "It Gets Better" on June 1st will be limited.

Dollard and the rest of the Fairy Tales crew announced the line-up as well and say the festival, now a teenager, will have all of the drama, emotion and sexual angst expected at age 13.

"This year's festival celebrates the diversity, creativity and visibility of Calgary's LGBTQ community," Dollard says.

This year's theme, Labels are for Soup Cans, is already proving popular. For more information, please visit www.fairytalesfilmfest.com.
