Lunchbox Theatre announced its 2011/2012 season and Alberta playwrights will be the focus.
Artistic director Pamela Halstead says the colourful season is full of music and features several Alberta playwrights.
"I am very excited by the 2011/2012 season line-up,” she says.
"I was striving for the balance between showcasing the incredible talent here in Alberta, while also bringing to the audience some of the fabulous things happening across the country and beyond.”
Five new plays will be featured this season including Peril in Paris, Last Christmas, Super 8, The Whimsy State or the Principality of Outer Baldonia and Dad's Piano.
Lunchbox will also see it's first production as part of the High Performance Rodeo in January, 2012 with The Ugly One. The new season kicks off in September.
