Pixar's Up — you should really go watch it

Officially, I'm not allowed to talk about Pixar's latest film, Up, until tomorrow. And even then, Fast Forward won't be giving an official opinion on it until next week's issue (the screening was past our print deadline, and it's definitely a film that deserves more than just an online review). So this isn't a review so much as a recommendation.

Go see this movie.

Don't read reviews. Don't skim plot summaries. Don't read discussions of it on your favourite message board. The marketing folks at Disney have done a fine job of keeping most of the plot under wraps — the trailers give away almost nothing. Don't undo all that — just go into it blind.

But do go see it. It's a wonderful, wonderful film. On par with Wall-E, even, which is pretty remarkable.

That's all I'm going to say.
