Along with that other indie rock-related Christmas thing, the The Interfaith Food Bank is holding its annual drive at the Marquee Room on Saturday, December 11.
Comapared to Sunday's festivities, however, this one has a distinctly different flavour, with sets from from Chris Vail (whose members, if we're to believe his Facebook post, will "include Jon Gant, Bil Hetherington, Chris Dadge and Matt Flegel"), Dan Vacon, The Night Committee and Samantha Savage Smith. And, rather than focusing on the Christmas classics, the night will be R&B-themed, with soul and R&B being spun by DJ Andrew Wedderburn. Which probably won't include any tracks from R.Kelly's Chocolate Factory, but it really should.
The event's free with a the donation of a non-perishable food item. Check its Facebook page for more details, including the food bank's most-needed food donations.
