
If we're to believe "Edmonton," one of Hometowns's strongest cuts, Nils Edenloff, the now-Toronto based singer of the Rural Alberta Advantage, is feeling a tad remorseful. Indeed, like plenty before him (and plenty after), he's yet another Albertan musician to head east for the bright lights of the Big Smoke.
"What'll I do if they never want me back?" he pines aloud.
Well, dude, here's your chance to find out. The RAA have just announced that it'll be playing at the Royal Canadian Legion on Tuesday, November 2, its first show in Alberta since February.
Go for their electric live show — with keyboardist Amy Cole and Woodhands member Paul Banwatt at times alternating around a floor tom — and stay for Edenloff's alarming lack of eyebrows. Seriously: It adds umpteen layers of severity to the music.
