SXSW: Get off your damn mobile device

I am perfectly capable of both understanding and navigating the differences I have with people. I think this world would be a better place if we all did. And I'm sure, as a civilization, we will continue to move forward (albeit slowly) with this notion firmly implanted in our minds, and, as a civilization, continue to grow and flourish.

We are all different. We are all allowed to be different. It is not only okay that we are different, it is incredibly good that we are different. That we are all different, and have different interests and priorities, is what makes the world an incredibly interesting (if sometimes irritating) place to live.

It's what makes the human experience an experience.

However...

To the people who are spending their time at the best music festival on earth on your goddamn Blackberries and iPhones, I have a humble request.

If you're not going to enjoy yourselves, get into the music, or, at very least pretend that you are allowing the music you are witnessing to inject itself into you and give your soul something to snack on, please, please, please get the hell out of the way so that us people who came here to actually watch and listen to the performers perform get a bit closer to the stage.
