An editor's ramblings on anything I damn well please

Marsha Ellen Meidow RIP

Marsha Ellen Meidow, a well known advocate for homeless women and director passed away from an aneurysm on January 6.

There will be a memorial and fundraiser for funeral expenses held at The Republik on Sunday, January 10 starting at 4 pm.

The family is asking guests to bring food for a potluck and any photos they may have of Marsha. Artists are being asked to bring their work for a silent auction to help the family pay the expenses of the funeral.

Those who wish to contribute their talent can contact Charity at 403-613-1383.

Our condolences go out to Marsha's friends and family, especially Tank Standing Buffalo, a man who has been through more than his share of pain in recent times.

RIP Marsha

Marsha will be sorely missed, she was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. It's not often that a person as extraordinary as Marsha comes into contact with you, and so these amazing few must be cherished. Though it has been many years since I saw you, you will be remembered by me.

The world lost a shining example of humanity the day Marsha passed away. It is often said 'too soon' or 'too young' the phrases have become cliche, and yet these are the phrases I use because they are true.

I feel for those closest to Marsha, and grieve with you.
