A man who was allegedly kicked out of a bar-hopping party bus for fighting is in serious but stable condition in hospital after the bus ran over the torso of his body in downtown Calgary.

Police say after the drunk man was turfed with his girlfriend from the bus “for disruptive behaviour,” he began banging on the bus’s side, slipped on an icy curb and fell under the moving bus.

The man is suffering from severe pelvic injuries and had internal bleeding. The incident took place on a Bust Loose party bus at 10:15 p.m. January 30 on 11th Ave. and 7th St. S.W. In a press release, Bust Loose president Ryler Rygus says the company wishes the injured man “a speedy and full recovery.” A police investigation is under way.
