The Calgary chapter of the Council of Canadians is hosting a public forum Tuesday, November 20 on Bill 46, the controversial provincial legislation that will split the Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) into two separate regulatory bodies.
Landowners and other citizens are worried that the proposed law will make it more difficult for the public to participate in public hearings on energy projects.
Joe Anglin, vice-chair of the Lavesta Area Group, will speak at the event, as will environmental lawyer Dean Watt. The forum will be at the Unitarian Church of Calgary (1703 1 St. N.W.) from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
