Re.: “Seals, sheep and anthropo what now?” Mike Brennan, Letters, May 15-21, 2008.
Mike Brennan, when dismissing the plight of the hundreds of thousands of seals brutally murdered in an annual blood lust ritual, fails to recognize that each individual seal facing either a hakapik or rifle shot is clearly endangered. See, an anthropocentric lacks the ability to give the concept of individuality over to other, non-human animal species.
I am quite confident that Wikipedia (that bible of revisionist science and history) will side with him on whether sheep drink lattes, but it will also be woefully ignorant as to why there seems to be some intellectual blockage impacting on humanity’s ability to think outside of its own greedy ways. In particular those who fixate on other species’ effluvia while ignoring their own messes.
