I am truly baffled why Harper is seen as a better prime minister than his rivals. He goes to the U.S. media boasting about how well our Canadian economy is doing, when he knows the tight-fisted policies of Paul Martin and the Liberals kept us out of danger.
Harper was last to realize we would face a deficit. While dismantling our public health system, he takes credit when Americans wish they had our health care. Instead of confronting Iran's leader for detaining Canadians and others, Harper walks out and goes to a doughnut shop. Later, he helps the leader of Israel deflect criticism of that country's apartheid polices by pointing at Iran for having nuclear facilities. Is that what leadership has come to... picking the most popular doughnut and tyrant? Our country, once respected on the world stage, has become a pastry.
