Kudos to Lee Richardson for having the courage to say things as they are. Although I have only read and/or heard what Fast Forward and other media reported, I have to agree with what Richardson said: one only has to open the newspaper every day to see that he is right. It is only conceivable that the Opposition calls for his head — their mandate is to pillory candidates from the governing party whenever and however they can. And, of course, the easiest — and dirtiest — are the mud-slinging, politically correct tools: accusations of bigotry, racism and discrimination.

Mr. Richardson, you have nothing to apologize for. Don’t back down, and don’t appease your opponents. If people had the courage that you have, you would get much more vocal support.
