Re: “Western migration,” by Josiah Hughes, Music, September 18-24, 2008.
Last week you printed an article about our band, Cancer Bats. In this article, our singer Liam Cormier stated that he thought the prices at Tubby Dog were too high. I would like to say that, the other three members of Cancer Bats, including myself, completely disagree and do not support this statement. In fact, we visit Tubby Dog every time we play Calgary as we feel it is the best hot dog restaurant in all of Canada. Perhaps our singer spends too much of his money on drinking certain Seattle brands of coffee and getting tattooed to be able to recognize a gourmet frankfurter when he sees one. We received quite the amount of flak from the staff at Tubby Dog about Liam’s comment, tempting them to consider making a $25 hot dog with nothing on it called the Cancer Bats dog. That’s just terrible! Bottom line, we love Tubby Dog and think their prices are quite reasonable for the amount of food and, above all, the unique quality they provide every time.
