Okay, so here we have fairly boring, straightforward hardcore from the east coast of America. Sounds like a ton of the shit I would’ve been listening to around 2005 or 2006. I imagine all of the members of the band dressed in unassuming punk T-shirts (maybe a nice Bold one like my friend Neil used to wear all the time), Vans low-tops and either expensive blue jeans or those weird Khaki pants that skateboarders wear. Immediate comparisons that spring to mind are Tear It Up (without any of the scissor-drums), Cut the Shit or maybe Bones Brigade. The songs are short and most of them end with a “mosh part.” Basically, I am snoozing while this plays. There is nothing urgent, nothing damaged or anti-social, whether sonically or lyrically, that would have me filing this under “Truly Crucial Hardcore” (a real genre I just made up). The guitar sound is fairly clean and sometimes it does that thing where it gets all jingly-jangly sounding at the end of the riff, like Go It Alone or Dag Nasty. Those bands were awesome and unfortunately these guys do not sound anything like them so that last sentence means absolutely nothing. Forgettable, just like this review.
