Picking up where they left off on 2006’s saucy Death by Sexy, The Eagles of Death Metal once again stick out their thumbs and catch a series of rides along the blues-rock continuum. Showing no signs of relinquishing their signature tongue-in-cheek style, vocalist Jesse “Boots Electric” Hughes sets the place on fire, bumping leather-clad hips with co-founder Josh “Baby Duck” Homme of Queens of the Stone Age fame. Muscling their way through 12 testosterone-fuelled vignettes, the pair simultaneously pay tribute to both the epic rock bands and disco inferno intoxication of the ’70s. Getting their Heart On in earnest, these Eagles load up on “Cheap Thrills” before executing their “Secret Plan” and finishing off with “I’m Your Torpedo.” Beyond any doubt, Heart On vibrates with an erotic energy that translates into instant audio-Viagra.
