Omega Crom - Blood, Steel & Fire

Reversed Records

After years of opening for 3 Inches of Blood, Vancouver’s underground metal outfit Omega Crom has forged its mighty barbarian-themed debut not in steel, but plastic. Blood, Steel & Fire doubles-down hardcore, pitting virtuosic technical prowess against sheer grindcore muscle. From the ambitious opening gallop of “Battlefield” to the merciless “Calling of the Dead” down to the Stephen King-inspired epic “The Prisoner (The Drawing)” it’s apparent this band is prepared to lay it all on the line. Vocalist-guitarist Johnny Ketlo puts his distinctive stamp on every track, easily transitioning between dark subterranean growls and soaring Dickinson-inspired yelps of triumph. Fearless in its pursuit of shredding, Omega Crom explodes with promise, ripping open the heavens and plundering the thunder therein.
