Seniore’s Pizza

Order: Seniore’s Special ($15.75). A 12-inch pizza with double pepperoni, sausage, salami, mushrooms, green peppers, onions and fresh tomatoes.
Crust: A medium-crust pizza with what might be the best outer layer I have tasted to date. The crust was moist and chewy without being undercooked.
Sauce: A basic sauce that wasn’t out of the ordinary. It was sweet and seasoned with oregano.
Toppings: Firstly, my pizza was sausage-less. Perhaps it was human error or maybe they ran out but it certainly didn’t ruin the experience. I probably wouldn’t have even noticed if I didn’t cross-reference the ingredients for this review. There also seems to be a discrepancy between my expectations of what double pepperoni looks like and what I received. Seniore’s version of double meat was on par with what a single serving is at most places, in my opinion. The tomatoes, green peppers, onions and salami were all cut into small cubes, and the mushrooms were cut small enough that they actually managed to cook while in the pizza oven.
Dining options: Very limited dine-in, pickup or delivery.
Decision: Seniore’s website boasts that they’ve tried “over 73 different kind [sic] of cheese” before settling on what seemed to me to be standard mozzarella with a splash of cheddar thrown on top for colour. Despite my review so far, this was a great pizza. If Seniore’s was my local joint, it could easily find its way onto my list of go-to places for pizza. The ratios, even with missing ingredients and singular double portions, were on par and everything worked well together. This pizza is worth four out of six slices.
