Burger: The Chwig Burger — A six-ounce all-beef burger on a toasted bun, topped with barbecue sauce, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and cheesy onion twigs ($10.25 with a side, or $8 for a smaller version).
Sides: Fries, spicy fries, Caesar salad, garden salad or soup.
Atmosphere: Humpty’s is a kid-friendly and slightly kitschy place, where the waitresses still call you “hun” and “sweetie.”
Menu: Breakfast is the main focus, but they also offer sandwiches, wraps, melts, and other general dinner fare.
Decision: The picture of the Chwig on the menu seemed daunting, with an enormous serving of onion twigs (think onion rings in smaller chunks). What actually arrived looked like a deflated version. The twigs added a subtle crunch and a familiar onion flavour, and the pre-formed patty was grilled — moist on the inside, perfectly charred outside. I didn’t notice until it was too late that mustard and relish are available “on request,” so the burger was blander than I would have liked. The produce was fresh and there was just enough barbecue sauce to add flavour without being too messy. If you’re at Humpty’s and simply not in the mood for breakfast, this is a good choice.

Calgary if not the WORLD. You should try the new shakes,
'Young Elvis' with banana and peanutbutter, or the 'Fat Elvis' with peanutbutter, banana, and bacon bits, surprizingly delicious.
