Pairings

Sake and sushi are made to go together. But why not mix things up? This recipe will pair with the Osake products, or you can use up that bad old sake on the shelf for the cooking and then load up on the good stuff when you’re done.

Sake salmon

800 g of salmon

1 tbsp sake

1 tbsp sugar

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp soya sauce

1 onion, chopped

1 one-inch section of ginger

Remove the skin and the bones of the salmon and cut it into eight pieces.

Mix the sugar and soya sauce with 1 tbsp of water.

Chop the onion and thinly chop the ginger. Drizzle olive oil on the onion and ginger and soften at low temperature in a skillet.

Pour the soya sauce mix into the skillet containing the onions and the ginger, then cook the fish in the mix for two minutes on each side at medium heat.

Pour the sake over top and continue to cook and low heat for 10 minutes.
