Lewis Carroll’s classic tale of weird adventure down the rabbit hole will hit the Jubilee stage with the latest Alberta Ballet production — choreographed by the company’s ballet master, Edmund Stripe.
On April 4, families can go one step further and meet Alice, the Queen of Hearts, the Mad Hatter and the Rabbit at the Mad Hatter’s Children’s tea, with an Alberta Ballet school performance and the chance for kids to create their own mad hat.
Alice in Wonderland runs April 2 to 4 at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium. The Mad Hatter’s Tea is April 4 in the Banquet Room at the Jubilee.

Quest Theatre tackles the often uncomfortable topic of failed marriage for a young audience in the latest Y Stage performance at Vertigo Theatre. ZooZoo the clown keeps going back to her childhood when her family fell apart. She learns to put herself back together with the help of her other clown friends, Zippy and Oops.
The performance also promises an appearance by the exploding family. Hmm.
Under the Big Top, by Jan Derbyshire and directed by Nikki Loach, runs April 4 and 5 at Vertigo Playhouse.
