NoD, the University of Calgary’s undergrad literary magazine, has put together some stellar material for its seventh issue — but it needs to raise some money for printing costs. Many writers get their start in high school, but a new publishing house takes student writing to the next level. Tiberious Publishing, named after the mascot of Lord Beaverbrook High School, is a school-based, student-run press, and its latest authors are Mhairi Robertson with Moose and Cow and Kevin Rushworth with Gaarn. Their teacher, Dale Wallace, joins them with his new collection of plays, The Gay Gene and Other Plays, for a reading at McNally Robinson on November 24, 5 p.m.
