Along with international performers from across Canada, the United States and Jamaica, there’s an abundance of local talent at this year’s festival. Standouts include: standup comic Cory Mack; poet, playwright and actor Ali Riley; slam poet Wakefield Brewster; hip hop duo Dragon Fli Empire; poet and professor Tom Wayman; activist and poet Jen Kunlire; sound poet Steven Ross Smith; Mama of Dada Sheri-D Wilson; and The Sons of Negus (Canada), a 10-piece band made up mostly of Calgary musicians led by musical director Bambalamb!
