Jamie Cumberland's gay lifestyle is of no particular concern to me, however, I do object to the unique "camp events" he mentions that are certainly degrading to the animals – especially the goat dressing. Most rodeo events, by their very nature, involve violence towards animals. I would have expected more compassion for the creatures when one considers the hostility and unkind attitudes demonstrated towards the gay community.
