Society’s Parasites
Hellcat/Epitaph

· One of the more disturbing acts on the Hellcat label.

Fuelled by rage and uncompromised aggression, Soceitys Parasites is disturbed, angry, vicious and dangerous. Dealing out 15 doses of hatred for mankind in the form of early Los Angeles-based hardcore churned through a street-punk meat grinder, the comparisons to Black Flag and The Casualties are obvious. However, even if there is an influence, these four boys have managed to surpass those comparisons with ease. From the gritty attack of "Preface" through "Echo Park," "Wishing Armageddon" to "Postscript," the relentless dominance they thrust forth is invigorating and somewhat imposing. Even the obligatory Rancid-esque bass solo that kicks off "American Nightmare" (not the Misfits song) is stepped up so heavily, the link is minimal at best. Easily the greatest release Hellcat has unleashed in years.
