Re: "LCD Soundsystem," by Mark Hamilton, Music Reviews, March 29-April 04.
I feel, Mark Hamilton, your LCD Soundsystem review was really off the mark. Seriously, "Someone Great," the worst track on the album? Every other review I've read so far seems to disagree (myself included). Every record store I go into is blasting it. And why exactly are the lyrics "inane?" Oh right, you don't bother qualifying that statement. And so what if one track has a cowbell. Are you referencing that Saturday Night Live skit? That's ancient, much like your friends' music knowledge. Lastly, why are you addressing James Murphy, like there's any way in this world he would be reading your lame-ass, poorly-written piece of garbage of a CD review. You're a hack.
CORRECTION
In the April 05-11 issue of Fast Forward, the subhead of the Ted Barris interview and the picture caption of The Great War cover story mistakenly refer to The First World War as The Second World War. Sorry for the error. |
