RE-PENETRATOR
Directed by Doug Sakmann
2005
The wonderful ladies at Burning Angel have outdone themselves. In an effort to meld the two otherwise disparate worlds of horror and pornography, owner Joanna Angel and crew have created a high-octane, low-budget spoof on a classic gore story, H.P. Lovecrafts Re-Animator.
As with any lust-filled celluloid extravaganza, the premise behind Re-Penetrator is a dubious tweak at best on Lovecrafts tale of a mad scientist engrossed in bringing his beloved back to life. Here, Dr. Hubert Breast (Tommy Pistol) longs to once again feel the thighs of his beloved stripper (Angel). Working long and hard (pun intended), it only takes him two decades to develop a serum that will bring her back to life and love. You can imagine how unkind time has been to her corpse. Injecting her with the Day-Glo fluid, she becomes not only a ravenously reanimated sex fiend, but as with all zombie flicks one with deep, deep bloodlust.
While Angel and Pistol are obviously enticing individuals in their own right, even they have a hard time taking things seriously. Pistol constantly hams it up for the camera, delivering more hilarious one-liners in this half-hour bonanza than Ron Jeremy has in his career. Naturally, bad acting and dollar-bin props only serve to heighten the amusement more than the arousal, but until things get decidedly gross, sex does win out over spectacle.
However, even a horror-pornofile has limits. Angels green zombie makeup does detract from her overall appeal and she really knows how to push the limits of bad taste as her undead body begins to spew blood and various other substances instead of the presumed natural fluids. Screwing in a sea of blood and fake body parts is, well, disgusting akin to the awe of passing a car wreck where you are seriously appalled yet totally enthralled. Even Pistol himself chokes back a strong gag when a right geyser of blood blasts forth from Angels groin during cunnilingus.
Strange and scary yet sexy and somewhat salacious, it takes a special breed to fully appreciate Re-Penetrator. But those who do will find it has moments of both the hot and horrific and is original, timeless and certainly unforgettable. |
