Archeology not so incomprehensible
Re: "High school poetry," by Jeff Kubik, November 9-15, 2006.

I’m not much of a theatre goer and have zero credentials for criticizing Jeff Kubik’s review of Theatre Junction’s Show No.1: Archeology, but I’ll give it a shot anyways.

I got it Jeff. I understood what they were doing. I enjoyed it. Really. I do not know a whole lot about lofty things like "professional cohesion" and "fragments" but I have been around long enough to know that all things are open to interpretation and that is what makes the arts especially cool. Sure you can dumb it down so it fits nicely into a box and folks can be comfortable knowing that things are spelled out. No need to overly tax our heads. Let’s keep things safe and orderly just the way it should be.

The funny thing is that I did not find the production "incomprehensible" and I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed by any means.

Poke your head out of the box. It’s pretty big out here.
