Arar: RCMP acted in nation’s best interest
Re: "Saying sorry doesn’t make it better," by David Bright, October 05-11, 2006.

 If Arar doesn't understand what we're up against in this war against terror, and hasn't any compassion for those who defend us even if they might have erred in their overzealousness, and even if more people die from car accidents every year than have ever died from terrorists, how can he call himself a Canadian? He's got his cash, and so now he should shut up. The RCMP weren't acting out of racism, or anti-Semitism or for any other reason than they held the nation's citizens’ interests in their defence. Arar is a citizen, so he should understand that.
