Lack of "musical theatre history," according to Jeff Kubik, rendered the Urinetown audience "stone silent." That was not the case the night I saw the show.
I thoroughly enjoyed all of the references that Urinetown had to offer. The professional theatre companies are not the only game in town! The local media should reflect this fact. Support your community theatre!
