Why did Fast Forward place a photo of a helmetless, clearly adult, Calgarian cyclist as the centrepiece for the article on bike paths?
There are hundreds of cyclists who realize and fully appreciate that heads don't bounce off pavement.
What is this stupid woman thinking? Is she checking out the dump truck that's about to send her to coma heaven? Wil Andruschak might have used his girlfriend as a photo model because he loves her but will he actually love her after she's on her back in a vegetative state for five years with no hope of recovery and while her mom cries at her beside everyday?
That photo sends the wrong message to beginner cyclists and anyone who rides a bike by stating that a bicycle helmet is optional. A helmet is not optional. It can save you from a lifetime of someone else wiping your ass.
