My Architects probably deserve more for their carefully crafted Britpop songs than they are going to get from me. With Grand Designs built around nine elegant songs, essentially about relationships, the band’s success will come from creating an atmosphere of believability and intimacy.
Unfortunately, the production techniques used on Aid Burrows’ lead vocals give the impression that he has been subtly, but undoubtedly, digitally enhanced. This is enough to undermine the emotional connection the band is attempting to establish.
If you’re willing to lie to me about your singing, how can I believe that you’ll miss me when I’m gone?
