The Only Thing I Ever Wanted
Domino
· Last heard on The O.C. and Greys Anatomy the cat came back and so did Londons PSAPP, with another charming and eccentric new album.
The London-based, cat-obsessed PSAPP produces yet another slightly eccentric, but nevertheless charming album. Employing retro guitars, children's instruments, xylophones, keyboards and violins, duo Galia Durant and Carim Clasmann create glitchy goodness mixed with beautiful moments of instrumental music. Though you might recognize their songs from Greys Anatomy and The O.C., their unique folktronica stylings are well worth hearing in full album format, rather than as a backdrop to weekday-night soap operas.
The bands new album will satisfy those looking for quirky pop, a bit of electronica and reflective instrumental tracks. Moments of folk and jazz creep in and with good effects. The Only Thing I Ever Wanted is a good culmination of experiments with different bips and bops from PSAPPs previous albums and is a great introduction to the band.
