Kudos to Pat Maiani and C-Jazz for picking up the pieces and assembling a great lineup of jazz musicians under the banner Re-Birth of the Cool. I can't say enough good things about these folks – not only for what they produce in Calgary, but for their generosity to the new kid on the festival block, the Canmore International Jazz Festival, which some of your readers may have enjoyed on June 10.
C-Jazz is committed to four seasons of jazz, not just the blockbuster summer fests, and they are right on. Great work, C-Jazz.
