· He was weaned on the nefarious milk of the notorious 1980’s Indian club scene (from Tiga.ca).

"Welcome to planet Sexor, where imagination rules the nation. Where the acid rain washes you clean and where sexy lightning always strikes twice." Well, hey, that sounds like a great place, like a place where you can put down a few vodka slimes or some rye-gingers and dance into the wee hours of the morning. But it’s too bad that place doesn’t actually exist, because you’ll need to find it in order to enjoy the debut club/dance/rave album Sexor from Montreal-born DJ/producer Tiga.

Under the right conditions, a majority of the tracks would be great. And those conditions would have to include being intoxicated, having lots of friends to groove with and being under the spinning lights of the dance floor. So, it’s not that there’s anything horribly wrong with the uptempo songs on the CD, it’s just that they come off flat and lifeless when listening to them at home. It’s a different story with the slower ones though, because they can’t be saved by the hopes of a greater live experience, so they end up being simply boring.

If you can turn your garage into a rave, by all means pop in Sexor – if not, maybe use your spare time to try and track down that sexy lightning.
