How can people know what the fuss is about if cartoons are censored?
Mr. Klaszus is way off base here. Idiocy is not the issue – terror tactics are.

Editors of the Western Standard and the Jewish Free Press were acting responsibly when they published the cartoons to inform readers of the source of a worldwide hysterical rampage by Muslims. We have a right to know, since this is a major news event.

If these cartoons had been ignored, only a few people in Denmark would have seen them and that would be the end of it. No news. The Muslims themselves created the media event. If they didn’t want people to see these cartoons, they should have ignored them. How are people supposed to respond to the cartoons and the destructive rampage if the cartoons are censored? Are we to assume the rampage is justified? Would Christians or Jews or Buddhists do this? What Mr. Klaszus is promoting is the worst kind of censorship.

These editors show courage and the news media is right to be afraid. After all, Muslims everywhere react violently, motivated by their hatred of Israel and the West. The very existence of western secular democracies and a Jewish state seems enough provocation for violence worldwide.
