It's good that Fast Forward featured concerned responses to Premier Ralph Klein's attack on medicare. I do wish, however, that you would not allow him to set the terms of the discussion by referring to his proposals as "reforms." A more accurate term is "erosion." Is that too partisan? Fine then call them "alterations." But to say that he's reforming something accedes that there was a problem in the first place.
Since the only real problem is the Tory government, which is clearly set to destroy medicare, I'm sending the $400 I received recently to the Alberta NDP. This is not, despite Klein's supercilious comment, "charity" it is resistance. As I wrote the first time cheques were tossed around, my vote is not for sale.
