GREEN DAY
Bullet in a Bible
Reprise

· America’s biggest pop-punk band take the show on the road, playing to 65,000 enthusiastic Brits and capturing the whole thing on CD and DVD. Billie Joe says "England!" a lot.

If this live CD-DVD is good for one thing, it’s showing that Green Day have grown from a little So-Cal punk band, to one that knows how to give an audience exactly what they want in a stadium show. Playing mostly material from American Idiot, the band whips the massive audience into a chanting, screaming, fist-pumping frenzy. The interview footage on the DVD may be a little high and mighty for a band that likes to pull their pants down onstage, but with all the quick cuts and pyrotechnics, its not really that noticeable. Even with a sketchy cover of "Shout" by The Isley Brothers, Bullet in a Bible is the kind of live album that makes you wish you were there, which is just what it should do.
