· I find it funny that an album called unpredictable sounds just like all the other crappy mainstream R&B albums out there.
Oscar winner Jamie Foxx tries to parlay his box office success (and judging from this display of indulgence, his mammoth ego) into a chart-topping sensitive love jam. The upside is he doesn’t do it alone. Out of 14 songs on Unpredictable, five of them feature guest stars. The downside is that even with the help of heavyweight hip hoppers Kanye West and Common, this album drowns in its own formula. The beats are weak, the melodies are sketchy and the lyrics are the worst kind of let’s-get-busy faux soul. Apparently Foxx wants to be the female Jennifer Lopez. Best of luck with that. I can’t wait to see Stealth 2.
