Yes, stoner, I can relate on some level with your trip. Actually she's singing in Khmer because Ch'hom Nimol is a pop queen of Cambodia turned Sacramento lounge singer turned underground rock diva, thanks to a few Californian rock musicians bent on reviving an obscure era of forgotten Asian pop music. (Actually, it was morbidly eliminated by Pol Pot and company as they did their part to change the "me" decade to the forced-agrarian-communel decade.)
While you're up there, Bud, contemplate this formula – sweet and haunting vocals plus farfisa organ multiplied by reverbed, modal surf guitar equals the psychedelic exotica disc of the year.
