LIMP BIZKIT
The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1)
Flip/Geffen
· On the Limp Bizkit website, Fred Durst urges his fans to buy the new Nine Inch Nails album
The unquestionable truth is that nobody cares about "the nookie" anymore and Fred Durst knows it. With 2003s Results May Vary being a thin shadow of the bands past glory, Durst decided to grow up and move along the evolutionary trail, or at least down the same path taken by Rage Against The Machine and Korn.
With the return of guitarist Wes Borland, The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1) isnt fun or flashy, but it is a stronger album, with harder instrumentals, less hip hop flavour and more cutting lyrics. While its not groundbreaking or revolutionary, The Unquestionable Truth is a valid attempt by Limp Bizkit to become a more meaningful and mature band (despite Dursts penchant for the F word). Will they maintain this new-found direction on Part 2? Well see.
