Food reviewer missed out on best hospital fare of all
Re: "Hold the green Jell-O: Hospital food isn’t always as bland as its sickly pastel surroundings," by Janet McMahen, Food (April 7 - 14, 2005).

Janet McMahen obviously hasn't spent as much time around the Foothills Hospital as I have during my wife's various sojourns there. There is no mention of the Timberline Cafeteria – by name – and yet I can attest that it is my first choice for all mealtimes on weekdays. I only frequent the Garden Deli on weekends when the Timberline is closed. Timberline's fresh-made sandwiches, super pizza and always delicious multiple choices for hot dishes far outdistance the often greasy grill fare and other choices at the Garden Deli – except for my weekend favourites.

Here's a hint, Janet: On weekends, the best grilled fare at the Deli is the Veggie Burger, and the assemble-your-own sandwich is a super-tasting, healthy meal in itself. Ask for all the veg and condiments! Over 250 days of experience, spent there over the past few years, guides my advice.
