| Re: A conservative view of same-sex marriage, by David McGrath, Viewpoint, Feb. 17 - 23, 2005
Mr. McGrath identified himself as a conservative so I looked up the definition. According to Merriam Webster it's:
a: Tending or disposed to maintain existing views, conditions, or institutions.
b: marked by moderation or caution.
c: marked by or relating to traditional norms of taste, elegance, style, or manners.
Hmmm. Do you suppose Mr. McGrath is getting ahead of himself by redefining conservative to mean: "favouring the trendy or politically correct over tradition based on reality" before the Canadian Parliament, or at least a gaggle of judges, redefine it legally?
